Use the Space Between the Songs to Improve your Show Package! We spend a lot of time on singing, and then we do a show and someone needs to talk!  This course will give some tips and pointers on what to say and how to say it, so your entire performance looks professional. It will also address the people who aren't talking so they know what to do as well.

For singing performers to develop appropriate musical and artistic choices, they must first try to understand what the composer/arranger and lyricist had in mind when they wrote the song. In this interactive class we will work through a song and try to discover what exactly they were thinking.

Learn some tips and tricks on everything from rehearsal planning to pacing during rehearsal to conducting techniques how to identify and fix what you're hearing from your chorus.

Learn how to create  an emotional plan for your performance and then how to practise with it.. Feel more connected to your music and create performances that will truly connect with others.

This class will provide a demonstration of the interrelationship between the Performance, Music and Singing Categories. Gary Plaag (PRF), Andrew Rembecki (SNG) and Adam Scott (MUS) will team up to show how coaching a quartet or chorus by all three categories at the same time will enhance the performance from all 3 perspectives.

"Be vulnerable!" We hear that a lot from judges and coaches. What does it really mean and how do we do it?

This session aims to help you realise how your voice is the best voice for you and how to find it! Also, we look into the way our natural resonance is ‘designed by nature’ to bind with others, no matter what voice part or sex! You can expect lots of singing!

Kursziel ist es, ein besseres Verständnis für Obertöne und damit auch für die eigene Stimme zu entwickeln. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Obertonanalyse mit sog. Spektrogrammen. Noch nie gehört? Macht nichts! Man kann damit Obertöne sichtbar machen und gesungene Töne visualisieren. Wir werden unseren Gesang in Echtzeit auf die entstandenen Obertöne hin analysieren. Am Ende des Kurses könnt ihr mit eurem Smartphone in Echtzeit Obertonanalysen durchführen und dies beim abendlichen Tagsingen einsetzen.

“Performance from the inside out” - When your audience comes to see you perform, they expect nothing other than to be entertained. Within each one of us there is a wonderful psychophysical power that can be sourced to hold our audiences in captivated attention. In this workshop, we’ll take the technical journey to the emotional side of performing. Come learn the techniques actors and stage performers use to discover their role on the stage.

A how-to techniques-based lesson. Topics include which gestures to use and why, how to talk less and show more, and a brief mention into score prep/marking. For Directors, Assistant Directors & Section Leaders.

Authenticity in performance is one of the main pillars of the Performance Category. This class explores the characteristics that make a performance authentic and believable, including effective song and performance planning before the performance even starts. Attendees will also evaluate quartet and chorus performances for authenticity and believability.

For established and aspiring coaches, learn techniques to strengthen your coaching style.

Old and new, soft and sweet, loud and proud, crunchy "modern chords" and classic tags. We'll put them on a projector and sing through dozens in an hour.

This session explores the way quartets (or octets) and the quartet experience can be used during a chorus evening to improve and strengthen the unit sound. You can expect to talk through ideas and then put them into practice. This is a practical session.
