EKBC's search for a new musical director ended with considerable success. Matthias Neuburger, long-time and now outgoing director says: "I am enormously pleased that the chorus has chosen Andrea Figallo as my successor."

Andrea is a known capacity in the music scene as a singer, coach, producer and director of the successful Bonner Jazzchor, though not yet in the barbershop world. "For me, directing a barbershop chorus means first of all becoming thoroughly familiar with the specifics of this a cappella form," he says himself. With such an outstanding musician as Andrea, however, the chorus has no doubt that this will succeed in no time, and so at the (sold-out) concert in Cologne's Senftöpfchen on January 8th, on the occasion of Matthias handing over the baton to Andrea, there will be reason for both grateful retrospection and expectant anticipation.
