Kevin Köhl
Kevin is one of the leading arrangers in the BinG! association and can analyse even the smallest detail of a piece from a music-theoretical perspective. He sings baritone in two quartets – 4plus and Chord Cracker – and has been arranging German and English pieces for both these and other quartets for more than ten years. He was born in 1995 and has been a member of BinG! since 2014.
Hi!
I’m Kevin and I’m absolutely delighted to be the point of contact for the arrangers! So if you have any questions about new or existing arrangements, please feel free to get in touch.
I’ve been passionately arranging a cappella music since 2010 and quickly specialised in arranging four-part pieces. In 2014, I took my first steps into arranging barbershop music. I love pushing boundaries and constantly reinventing myself. In 2015, I founded my first barbershop quartet, Chord Cracker, with whom I’ve had the pleasure of winning several medals, most recently the gold medal at the German Quartet Championships in May 2023. I currently sing bass in the mixed quartet Escapade. Fortunately, the other three allow me to bring my compositional creations into the quartet.
When I’m not arranging a piece for my own quartets or to my own taste, I write pieces on commission for other quartets and choruses, which fills me with joy and pride. Over the years, I have acquired a broad range of knowledge and expertise, which helps me to tailor the pieces precisely to the wishes of the choruses and quartets. I arrange for TTBB, SSAA and all-voice (SATB) ensembles in both contestable and non-contestable contexts. Please do take a look at my website. There you will find existing arrangements, as well as information and a contact form should you be interested in a customised arrangement from me.
I look forward to hearing from you!
