Tindra Thor
Performer & arranger & choreographer
Dr Tindra Thor has lived and breathed music since the age of three, starting in church choirs and continuing through music schools. Barbershop harmony has been her constant companion for twenty years.
Tindra has been the director of Stockholm City Voices since 2017.
Tindra frequently arranges and choreographs performances, starting from conceptual ideas and viewing each performance as an overall aesthetic experience – a sensory experience where voices, bodies and visuals come together.
She is passionate about combining art and science, helping singers not only refine their sound but also develop their full expressive potential.
Tindra is a performer at heart, having studied musical theatre, conducting and music education, and sung in internationally competitive quartets (including the former BinG! World Mixed winner Potential Scandal!).
Beyond the stage, Tindra holds a PhD with a research focus on aesthetic practices and often explores how sound, physicality and imagery are interwoven.
